Ademco Vista 10se, 20se, 15p, 20p, and 50p.

When a Virtual Keypad Module is connected to a Vista panel, the panel can communicate with the Alarm Monitoring Center in the usual way, but it also becomes possible to send data to the IP Alarms Verified Response platform so that the subscriber can take full advantage of automated alarm monitoring and video recording capabilities.

Data from the panel is collected by the Virtual Keypad Module and communicated to the IP Alarms Diginet and CellAlarm IP & cellular signalling devices which in turn forward events on to the Verified Response servers via the Internet. Through careful analysis of the data, the monitoring server is able to detect when an alarm event has taken place and can handle each event according to the account setup.

The ability to receive secondary communications from Vista panels serves two purposes:

  • It allows the platform to to record from IP cameras associated with the alarm system

  • It allows the platform to act as a backup in case the main monitoring connection becomes unavailable

Of course, it is also possible to use the on-board Telco dialer and a Linksys ATA to communicate directly with your chosen Monitoring Center through the Linksys Alarm Monitoring Solution. Either way, the Virtual Keypad Module is a valuable add-on feature for use with the Verified Response Platform.
